Arena

Boxing bouts occur all over the world, but in the early days Madison Square Garden in New York City was known as the mecca of the boxing world. MSG played host to some of the biggest fights in boxing history such as the first one between Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali. The arena’s original ring is now featured in the International Boxing Hall of Fame when it was retired in 2007 after 82 years. Beginning in the late 20th century, boxing matches started to move to the West to places like Las Vegas. MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, and Caesar’s Palace have become some of the most popular locations for boxing fights today.
